The E.N.T. Department is recognized as a Postgraduate Training Institute since 1984 and it is known as Sanjeevan Medical Foundation ENT Postgraduate Training Institute. In the year 1984 Diploma Course i.e. Diplomate NB (Otorhinolaryngology) of National Board of Examinations, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi was recognized.

From the academic year 1990-91 this P.G. Institute has obtained affiliation from Shivaji University, Kolhapur for training candidates for M.S.(ENT) and D.L.O. (ENT).

From 1996, the Medical Council of India has approved (vide MCI letter No.MCI-92 [22] /96-Med./14928 Dated 23/09/1996) this P.G. Institute for Postgraduate Training candidates for M.S.(ENT) and D.L.O. (ENT).

From the year 2010 onwards this institute has been recognized by Medical council of India (vide MCI letter No. MCI-92 [22] /2010-Med./33731 Dated 12/10/2010) for training PG students for MS (ENT) and DLO (ENT) with retrospective effect from year 1991-92.

This Postgraduate Institute is a unique Education Centre in E.N.T. speciality. It is a matter of proud for this P.G. Institute to state that so far more than 125 postgraduate students have successfully completed their respective P.G. Degree/ Diploma/ DNB / DORL and FCPS ( CPS ) Courses at this ENT Postgraduate. Institute and have established their ENT career all over India and even abroad.

It is a matter of proud to say that from academic year 2020-21 onwards as per new rule laid down by MCI & Government of India two existing PG Diploma Seats i.e. DLO(ENT) hve been converted into PG Degree seats i.e. MS(ENT).
